Remember your leaders,1 who spoke the word of God2 to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate3 their faith.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.49
Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings.5 It is good for our hearts to be strengthened6 by grace, not by ceremonial foods,7 which are of no value to those who eat them.810
We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle9 have no right to eat.1011
The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering,11 but the bodies are burned outside the camp.1212
And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate13 to make the people holy14 through his own blood.1513

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice20 of praise--the fruit of lips21 that confess his name.
16
And do not forget to do good and to share with others,22 for with such sacrifices23 God is pleased.
17
Obey your leaders24 and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you25 as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
