Psalms 116:18 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 116:18

I will pay my vows unto the Lord
(See Gill on Psalms 116:14). And the Targum here, as there, paraphrases the latter clause,

now in the presence of all his people,
thus;

``I will then declare his signs (or wonders) to all his people;''

the marvellous things he had done for him.

Psalms 116:18 In-Context

16 LORD, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains.
17 I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call on the name of the LORD.
18 I will pay my vows to the LORD, Yes, in the presence of all his people,
19 In the courts of the LORD's house, In the midst of you, Yerushalayim. Praise the LORD!
