For I am the LORD, your God,1 the Holy One2 of Israel, your Savior;3 I give Egypt4 for your ransom, Cusha5 and Seba6 in your stead.74
Since you are precious and honored8 in my sight, and because I love9 you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life.
Do not be afraid,10 for I am with you;11 I will bring your children12 from the east and gather13 you from the west.146
I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south,15 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters16 from the ends of the earth17--
everyone who is called by my name,18 whom I created19 for my glory,20 whom I formed and made.21"
Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,22 who have ears but are deaf.239
All the nations gather together24 and the peoples assemble. Which of them foretold25 this and proclaimed to us the former things? Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right, so that others may hear and say, "It is true."
"You are my witnesses,26" declares the LORD, "and my servant27 whom I have chosen, so that you may know28 and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god29 was formed, nor will there be one after me.3011
I, even I, am the LORD,31 and apart from me there is no savior.3212
I have revealed and saved and proclaimed-- I, and not some foreign god33 among you. You are my witnesses,34" declares the LORD, "that I am God.
Yes, and from ancient days35 I am he.36 No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?"37
