The Servant of the LORD

1 Listen1 to me, you islands;2 hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born3 the LORD called4 me; from my birth he has made mention of my name.5

2 He made my mouth6 like a sharpened sword,7 in the shadow of his hand8 he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow9 and concealed me in his quiver.
