9 Y dirán: Por cuanto dejaron al SEÑOR su Dios, que había sacado a sus padres de tierra de Egipto, y echaron mano a los dioses ajenos, y los adoraron, y los sirvieron; por eso ha traído el SEÑOR sobre ellos todo este mal

1 Kings 9:9

And they shall answer
Who were left in the land when others were carried captive, as were some by Nebuchadnezzar, and who were capable of making the following answer:

because they forsook the Lord;
the worship of the Lord their God, as the Targum:

who brought forth their fathers out of the land Egypt;
which is observed as an aggravation of their sin:

and have taken hold upon other gods:
the gods of the people, as the Targum; of the Gentiles, who knew not the true God:

and have worshipped them, and served them:
even idols of gold and silver, wood and stone; an instance of judicial blindness they were left unto, who had been favoured with a revelation from God:

therefore hath the Lord brought upon them all this evil;
their idolatry was the cause of it, than which nothing is more provoking to God.

7 yo cortaré a Israel de sobre la faz de la tierra que les he entregado; y esta Casa que he santificado a mi nombre, yo la echaré de delante de mí, e Israel será por proverbio y fábula a todos los pueblos

8 y a esta Casa que estaba en estima, cualquiera que pasare por ella se pasmará, y silbará, y dirá: ¿Por qué ha hecho así el SEÑOR a esta tierra, y a esta Casa

9 Y dirán: Por cuanto dejaron al SEÑOR su Dios, que había sacado a sus padres de tierra de Egipto, y echaron mano a los dioses ajenos, y los adoraron, y los sirvieron; por eso ha traído el SEÑOR sobre ellos todo este mal

10 Y aconteció al cabo de los veinte años, que Salomón había edificado las dos casas, la Casa del SEÑOR y la casa rea

11 (para las cuales Hiram rey de Tiro, había traído a Salomón madera de cedro y de haya, y cuanto oro él quiso), que el rey Salomón dio a Hiram veinte ciudades en tierra de Galilea
