Exodus 30:27

27 and the table and all its vessels and the lampstand and its vessels and the altar of incense

Exodus 30:27 Meaning and Commentary

Exodus 30:27

And the table, and all his vessels
The shewbread table, with all things appertaining to it, rings, staves, dishes, spoons, bowls all were anointed; which had respect to Christ, and the communion of his people with him, feeding on him, that food which endures for ever, whom God the Father has sealed and sanctified:

and the candlestick and his vessels;
an emblem of the church, and of the light of the word held forth in it, which being accompanied with the grace of the Spirit of God, is the savour of life unto life:

and the altar of incense;
on which the odours, the prayers of the saints, come up before God through the mediation of Christ.

Exodus 30:27 In-Context

25 and thou shalt make of it the oil of the holy anointing, a superior ointment, after the art of the apothecary, which shall be the oil of the holy anointing.
26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony with it and the ark of the testimony
27 and the table and all its vessels and the lampstand and its vessels and the altar of incense
28 and the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels and the laver and its base.
29 Thus thou shalt consecrate them, and they shall be most holy; whatever touches them shall be sanctified.
