5 And they called the name of this place Bokim, and there they sacrificed to Yahweh.

Judges 2:5

And they called the name of that place Bochim
Which signifies "weepers", from the general lamentation of the people, which before had another name; very probably it was Shiloh itself since all Israel was gathered together, the tabernacle being now at Shiloh, and also because sacrifices were offered up, as follows:

and they sacrificed there unto the Lord;
to atone for the sins they had committed; and if they did this in the faith of the great sacrifice of the Messiah, they did well; however, so far there was an acknowledgment of their, guilt, and a compliance with the appointments of God directed to in such cases.

3 Now I say, I will not drive them out from before you; they will {become as thorns} for you, and their gods will be a trap for you."

4 And as the angel of Yahweh spoke these words to all the {Israelites}, the people {wept bitterly}.

5 And they called the name of this place Bokim, and there they sacrificed to Yahweh.

6 And Joshua sent the people away, and the {Israelites} went each to their own inheritance to take possession of the land.

7 And the people served Yahweh all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who saw all the great work Yahweh had done for Israel.
