Leviticus 22:27-33 (New International Version)

27 "When a calf, a lamb or a goat1 is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days.2 From the eighth day3 on, it will be acceptable4 as an offering made to the LORD by fire. 28 Do not slaughter a cow or a sheep and its young on the same day.5 29 "When you sacrifice a thank offering6 to the LORD, sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf. 30 It must be eaten that same day; leave none of it till morning.7 I am the LORD.8 31 "Keep9 my commands and follow them.10 I am the LORD. 32 Do not profane my holy name.11 I must be acknowledged as holy by the Israelites.12 I am the LORD, who makesa you holyb13 33 and who brought you out of Egypt14 to be your God.15 I am the LORD."
