Zacharias 2:7

7 to Sion: deliver yourselves, ye that dwell the daughter of Babylon.

Zacharias 2:7 Meaning and Commentary

Zechariah 2:7

Deliver thyself, O Zion
Or make thy escape, you that belong to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, and ought to have your abode there, and not in Babylon: flee from thence, that dwelleth [with] the daughter of Babylon;
in any of the antichristian states, who are the daughters of Babylon, the mother of harlots, ( Revelation 17:5 ) so it may be rendered, "that inhabits the daughter of Babylon" F11; dwells in any of the cities, towns, and villages, belonging to it.

Zacharias 2:7 In-Context

5 And I will be to her, saith the Lord, a wall of fire round about, and I will be for a glory in the midst of her.
6 Ho, ho, flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord: for I will gather you from the four winds of heaven, saith the Lord,
7 to Sion: deliver yourselves, ye that dwell the daughter of Babylon.
8 For thus saith the Lord Almighty; After the glory has he sent me to the nations that spoiled you: for he that touches you is as one that touches the apple of his eye.
9 For, behold, I bring my hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to them that serve them: and ye shall know that the Lord Almighty has sent me.
