Psalms 41:7 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 41:7

All that hate me whisper together against me
That is, they privately conspired against him; see ( Matthew 22:15 ) ( John 11:53 ) ( Matthew 26:3 Matthew 26:4 ) ;

against me do they devise my hurt;
not only to take away his name and credit, but his life.

7 These "friends" who hate me whisper slanders all over town. They form committees to plan misery for me.
8 The rumor goes out, "He's got some dirty, deadly disease. The doctors have given up on him."
