Then Davidsaid to all the assembly, "Nowbless the LORD your God." And 1all the assemblyblessed the LORD, the God of their fathers, and 2bowedlow and didhomage to the LORD and to the king.

On the nextday3they amadesacrifices to the LORD and offeredburntofferings to the LORD, 1,000bulls, 1,000rams and 1,000lambs, with their drinkofferings and sacrifices in abundance for allIsrael.

So they ate and drank that daybefore the LORD with greatgladness. And they madeSolomon the son of Davidking a secondtime, and they anointed him as ruler for the LORD and Zadok as priest.

Then 4Solomonsat on the throne of the LORD as kinginstead of David his father ; and he prospered, and allIsraelobeyed him.
24All the officials, the mightymen, and alsoall the sons of KingDavidbpledgedallegiance to KingSolomon.
255The LORDhighlyexaltedSolomon in the sight of allIsrael, and 6bestowed on him royalmajestywhichhad not been on anykingbefore him in Israel.

Now 7David the son of JessereignedoverallIsrael.
278The periodwhich he reignedoverIsrael was fortyyears ; he reigned in Hebronsevenyears and cin Jerusalemthirty-three years.

Then he died in 9a dripeoldage, 10full of days, riches and honor ; and his sonSolomonreigned in his place.

"Now the acts of KingDavid, from first to last, are written in the chronicles of 11Samuel the seer, in the chronicles of 12Nathan the prophet and in the chronicles of 13Gad the seer,

with all his reign, his power, and the circumstanceswhichcame on him, on Israel, and on all the kingdoms of the lands.
