11Thus all the work that Solomonperformed for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomonbrought in the a2things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver and the gold and all the utensils, and put them in the treasuries of the house of God.
23ThenSolomonassembled to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers' households of the sons of Israel, 4to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.
35All the men of Israelassembled themselves to the king at 6the feast, that is in the seventhmonth.
4
Then all the elders of Israelcame, and 7the Levitestook up the ark.
5
They brought up the ark and the tent of meeting and all the holyutensilswhich were in the tent ; the Leviticalpriestsbrought them up.
6
And KingSolomon and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him before the ark, were sacrificingbso manysheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.
7
Then the priestsbrought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the innersanctuary of the house, to the holy of holies, under the wings of the cherubim.
8
For the cherubimspread their wingsover the place of the ark, so that the cherubimmade a coveringover the ark and its cpoles.
9
The poles were so long that 8the ends of the poles of the ark could be seen in front of the innersanctuary, but they could not be seenoutside ; and dthey are there to thisday.
109There was nothing in the arkexcept the twotabletswhichMosesput there at Horeb, where the LORDmade a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
11
When the priestscameforth from the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, withoutregard10to divisions ),
12
and all the Leviticalsingers, 11Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in finelinen, 12with cymbals, harps and lyres, standingeast of the altar, and with them one hundred and twentypriests13blowingtrumpets13
in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with onevoice to praise and to glorify the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice14accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the LORD saying, "15 He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting," then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,
14
so that the priestscould not stand to ministerbecause of the cloud, for 16the glory of the LORDfilled the house of God.
