26Grace and peace be multiplied to you in 7the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord ;
3seeing that His 8divinepower has granted to us everythingpertaining to life and godliness, through the true9knowledge of Him who 10called us dby His ownglory and eexcellence.
4fFor by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent11promises, so that by them you may become12partakers of the divinenature, having 13escaped the 14corruption that is in 15the world by lust.
5Now for thisvery reason also, applyingalldiligence, in your faith16supply17moralgexcellence, and in your moralexcellence, 18knowledge,

and in your knowledge, 19self-control, and in your self-control, 20perseverance, and in your perseverance, 21godliness,

and in your godliness, 22brotherlykindness, and in your brotherlykindness, love.

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neitheruselessnor23unfruitful in the true24knowledge of our LordJesusChrist.
