1 1I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to 2judge the living and the dead, and by His 3appearing and His kingdom : 2 preach 4the word ; be ready in season and out of season ; 5reprove, rebuke, exhort, with agreat 6patience and instruction. 3 For 7the time will come when they will not endure 8sound doctrine ; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and 9will turn away their ears from the truth and 10will turn aside to myths. 5 But you, 11be sober in all things, 12endure hardship, do the work of an 13evangelist, fulfill your 14ministry. 6 For I am already being 15poured out as a drink offering, and the time of 16my departure has come. 7 17I have fought the good fight, I have finished 18the course, I have kept 19the faith ; 8 in the future there 20is laid up for me 21the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on 22that day ; and not only to me, but also to 23all who have loved His 24appearing.Personal Concerns
