and they were takingnote of him as being the one who used to 2sit at the BeautifulGate of the temple to beg alms, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

11 While he was clinging to 3Peter and John, all the peoplerantogether to them at the so-called4portico of Solomon, full of amazement.

But when Petersaw this, he replied to the people, "Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, orwhy do you gaze at us, as if by our ownpowerorpiety we had made him walk?

"5The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, 6the God of our fathers, has glorified His 7servantJesus, the one whom8you delivered and disowned in the presence of 9Pilate, when he had 10decided to release Him.

"But you disowned11the Holy and RighteousOne and 12asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

but put to death the 13Prince of life, the one whom14Godraised from the dead, a fact to which we are 15witnesses.

"And on the basis of faith16in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthenedthis man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him thisperfecthealth in the presence of you all.

"And now, brethren, I know that you acted17in ignorance, just as your 18rulers did also.

"But the things which19Godannouncedbeforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, 20that His Christ would suffer, He has thusfulfilled.

"Therefore21repent and return, so that your sins may be wipedaway, in order that 22times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;
