And he was talking and arguing with the 1Hellenistic Jews; but they were attempting to put him to death.

But when 2the brethrenlearned of it, they brought him down to 3Caesarea and 4sent him away to 5Tarsus.

So6the churchthroughoutallJudea and Galilee and Samariaenjoyedpeace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the HolySpirit, it continued to increase.

32Now as Peter was travelingthroughall those regions, he camedownalso to 7the saints who lived at 8Lydda.

There he found a mannamedAeneas, who had been bedridden**eightyears, for he was paralyzed.

Petersaid to him, "Aeneas, JesusChristheals you; get up and make your bed." Immediately he got up.

And all who lived at 9Lydda and 10Sharonsaw him, and they 11turned to the Lord.

Now in 12Joppa there was a disciplenamedTabitha (whichtranslated in Greek is calledDorcas ); thiswoman was abounding with deeds of kindness and charitywhich she continually did.

And it happened at that time that she fellsick and died; and when they had washed her body, they laid it in an 13upperroom.

Since Lydda was near14Joppa, 15the disciples, having heard that Peter was there*, senttwomen to him, imploring him, "Do not delay in coming to us."

SoPeterarose and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the 16upperroom; and all the 17widowsstoodbeside him, weeping and showingall the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to makewhile she was with them.
