11aalso we b1have obtained an inheritance, having been 2predestined3according to His purpose who worksallthings4after the counsel of His will,

to the end that we who were the first to hope in cChrist would be 5to the praise of His glory.

In dHim, you also, after listening to 6the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -having alsoebelieved, you were 7sealed in fHim with 8the HolySpirit of promise,
14who is g9given as a pledge of 10our inheritance, with a view to the 11redemption of 12God's own possession, 13to the praise of His glory.

For thisreason I too, 14having heard of the faith in the LordJesus which exists among you and hyour love for 15all the isaints,
1616do not ceasegivingthanks for you, 17while makingmention of you in my prayers ;

that the 18God of our LordJesusChrist, 19the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of 20wisdom and of 21revelation in the jknowledge of Him.

I pray that 22the eyes of your heartkmay be enlightened, so that you will knowwhat is the 23hope of His 24calling, what are 25the riches of the glory of 26His inheritance in 27the lsaints,

and what is the surpassinggreatness of His powertoward us who believe. 28These are in accordance with the working of the 29strength of His might20which He broughtabout in Christ, when He 30raised Him from the dead and 31seated Him at His righthand in 32the heavenly places,
21farabove33allrule and authority and power and dominion, and every34name that is named, not only in 35thisage but also in the one to come.

And He 36putallthings in subjectionunder His feet, and gave Him as 37headoverallthings to the church,
