by setting their threshold by My threshold and their doorpostbeside My doorpost, with only the wallbetween Me and them. And they have 1defiled My holyname by their abominationswhich they have committed. So I have consumed them in My anger.
9"Now let them 2putaway their harlotry and the acorpses of their kingsfar from Me; and I will 3dwellamong them forever.

"As for you, son of man, b4describe the ctemple to the house of Israel, that they may be 5ashamed of their iniquities ; and let them measure the d6plan.
11"If they are ashamed of all that they have done, makeknown to them the edesign of the house, its structure, its 7exits, its entrances, all its designs, all its statutesf, and all its laws. And write it 8in their sight, so that they may observe its wholegdesign and all its statutes and 9do them.
12"This is the hlaw of the house : its entireiarea on the top of the 10mountainallaround shall be mostholy. Behold, this is the jlaw of the house.

"And these are the measurements of the 11altar by cubits (the 12cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth ): the kbase shall be a cubit and the width a cubit, and its border on its edgeroundaboutonespan ; and this shall be the height of the lbase of the altar.

"From the base on the ground to the lower13ledge shall be twocubits and the width one cubit ; and from the smallerledge to the largerledge shall be fourcubits and the widthmonecubit.

"The naltarhearth shall be fourcubits ; and from the oaltarhearth shall extend upwardsfour14horns.

"Now the paltarhearth shall be twelve cubits long by twelvewide, 15square in its foursides.

"The ledge shall be fourteen cubits long by fourteenwide in its foursides, the borderaround it shall be half a cubit and its base shall be a cubitroundabout ; and its 16steps shall q17face the east."

And He said to me, "18Son of man, thussays the LordrGOD, 'These are the statutes for the altar on the day it is built, to offer19burntofferings on it and to 20sprinkleblood on it.
