Moreover, the word of the LORDcame to me saying,
"And you, son of man, thussays the LordaGOD to the land of Israel, 'An 1end ! The end is coming on the fourcorners of the land.
3'Now the end is upon you, and I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways and bringall your abominations upon you.
'For My eye will havenopity on you, nor will I spare you, but I will 2bring your ways upon you, and your abominations will be among you; then you will 3know that I am the LORD !'
5"Thussays the LordbGOD, 'A 4disaster, uniquedisaster, behold it is coming !
'An end is coming ; the end has come ! It has 5awakenedagainst you; behold, it has come !
'Your doom has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. The 6time has come, the 7day is near-tumultratherthanjoyfulshouting on the mountains.
8'Now I will shortly8pour out My wrath on you and spend My anger against you; 9judge you according to your ways and bring on you all your abominations.
'My eye will shownopitynor will I spare. I will crepay you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst ; then you will know that I, the LORD, do the smiting.
10'Behold, the day ! Behold, it is coming ! Your doom has goneforth ; the 10rod has budded, arrogance has blossomed.
11'Violencedhas grown into a rod of 11wickedness. None of them shall remain, none of their people, none of their 12wealth, nor anything eminent among them.
'The 13time has come, the day has arrived. Let not the 14buyerrejoicenor the sellermourn ; for 15wrath is againstall their multitude.
13'Indeed, the seller will not e16regainfwhat he sold as long as gthey both live ; for the visionregardingall their multitude will not hbe averted, nor will any of them maintain his life by his iniquity.
'They have 17blown the trumpet and madeeverythingready, but noone is going to the battle, for My wrath is againstallitheir multitude.
'The 18sword is outside and the plague and the famine are within. He who is in the field will die by the sword ; famine and the plague will also consume those in the city.
'Even when their survivors19escape, they will be on the mountains like 20doves of the valleys, all of them j21mourning, each over his own iniquity.
17'All22hands will hanglimp and allknees will kbecome like water.
'They will 23gird themselves with sackcloth and 24shuddering will overwhelm them; and shame will be on allfaces and 25baldness on all their heads.
'They will 26fling their silver into the streets and their gold will become an abhorrentthing ; their 27silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD. They cannotsatisfy their lappetitenor can they fill their stomachs, for their iniquity has become an occasion of stumbling.
