1Anyone who has setaside the Law of Mosesdieswithoutmercy on the testimony of twoorthreewitnesses.

2Howmuchsevererpunishment do you think he will deserve3who has trampledunderfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean4the blood of the covenant5by which he was sanctified, and has 6insulted the Spirit of grace?

For we know Him who said, "7VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY." And again, "8THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."

It is a 9terrifyingthing to fall into the hands of the 10livingGod.

But remember11the formerdays, when*, after being 12enlightened, you endured a great13conflict of sufferings,

partly by being 14made a publicspectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming15sharers with those who were sotreated.

For you 16showedsympathy to the prisoners and accepted17joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves18a betterpossession and a lasting one.

Therefore, do not throwaway your 19confidence, whichhas a great20reward.

For you haveneed of 21endurance, so that when you have 22done the will of God, you may 23receivewhat was promised.

24FOR YET IN A VERYLITTLEWHILE, 25HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY.
