Your silver has becomedross, Your drinkdiluted with water.
Your 2rulers are rebels And companions of thieves; Everyone3loves a bribe And chases after rewards. They 4do not adefend the borphan, Nor does the widow'spleacomebefore them.
24Therefore the LordcGOD of hosts, The 5MightyOne of Israel, declares, "Ah, I will be relieved of My adversaries And 6avenge Myself on My foes.
"I will also turn My handagainst you, And will 7smelt away your dross as with lye And will removeall your alloy.
"Then I will restore your 8judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the 9city of righteousness, A faithfulcity."
27Zion will be 10redeemed with justice And her drepentant ones with righteousness.
But etransgressors and sinners will be 11crushedtogether, And those who forsake the LORD will come to an end.
