"1I am the goodshepherd, and 2I know My own and My ownknow Me,

even as 3the Fatherknows Me and I know the Father; and 4I laydown My life for the sheep.

"I have5othersheep, which are not of thisfold; I mustbring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become6oneflock with 7oneshepherd.

"For thisreason the Fatherloves Me, because I 8laydown My lifeso that I may take it again.

"9Noone has taken it away from Me, but I 10lay it down on My owninitiative. I haveauthority to lay it down, and I haveauthority to take it up again. 11Thiscommandment I received from My Father."

Many of them were saying, "He 13has a demon and 14is insane. Why do you listen to Him?"

Others were saying, "These are not the sayings of one 15demon-possessed. 16A demoncannot*open the eyes of the blind, can he?"
Jesus Asserts His Deity
