1Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and 2consoling her, when they saw that Marygot up quickly and went out, they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weepthere.

Therefore, whenMarycamewhereJesus was, she saw Him, and fell at His feet, saying to Him, "3Lord, 4if You had beenhere, my brother would not have died."

WhenJesusthereforesaw her weeping, and 5the Jews who came with her also weeping, He 6was deeplymoved in spirit and 7was troubled,

and said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to Him, "Lord, come and see."

So9the Jews were saying, "Seehow He 10loved him!"

But some of them said, "Could not thisman, who 11opened the eyes of the blindman, havekeptthismanalso from dying?"

SoJesus, again being deeplymovedwithin*, came to the tomb. Now it was a 12cave, and a stone was lyingagainst it.

Jesussaid, "Remove the stone."Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, "Lord, by thistime there will be a stench, for he has been dead 13fourdays."

Jesussaid to her, "14Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"

So they removed the 15stone. ThenJesus16raised His eyes, and said, "17Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
