SoJesussaid to them, "1For a littlewhilelonger2the Light is among you. 3Walkwhile you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who 4walks in the darkness does not knowwhere he goes.

"While you have the Light, 5believe in the Light, so that you may become6sons of Light."ThesethingsJesusspoke, and He wentaway and 7hid Himself from them.

But though He had performedsomanysignsbefore them, yet they were not believing in Him.

This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophetwhich he spoke: "8LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?"

For thisreason they could not believe, for Isaiahsaidagain,

"9HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE 10HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO* THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM"

ThesethingsIsaiahsaidbecause11he saw His glory, and 12he spoke of Him.

Nevertheless*13manyeven of 14the rulersbelieved in Him, but 15because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear* that they would be 16put out of the synagogue;

17for they loved the approval of menratherthan the approval of God.

And Jesuscried out and said, "18He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me.
