ThereforeJesussaid, "Let her alone, so that she may keep it for 1the day of My burial.

"2For you alwayshave the poor with you, but you do not alwayshave Me."

The 3largecrowd of the Jewsthenlearned that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus'sakeonly, but that they might alsoseeLazarus, 4whom He raised from the dead.

But the chiefpriestsplanned to putLazarus to deathalso;

because5on account of him 6many of the Jews were goingaway and were believing in Jesus.
Jesus Enters Jerusalem
12 On the nextday7the largecrowd who had come to 8the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

took the branches of the palmtrees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, "9Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the 10King of Israel."

Jesus, finding a youngdonkey, sat on it; as it is written,

"11FEAR NOT, DAUGHTER OF ZION; BEHOLD, YOUR KING IS COMING, SEATED ON A DONKEY'SCOLT."

12Thesethings His disciples did not understand at the first; but whenJesus13was glorified, then they remembered that thesethings were written of Him, and that they had donethesethings to Him.

So14the people, who were with Him when He calledLazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him.
