So she ran and came to SimonPeter and to the other1disciplewhomJesusloved, and said to them, "2They have takenaway the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not knowwhere they have laid Him."

3SoPeter and the otherdisciplewentforth, and they were going to the tomb.

The two were runningtogether; and the otherdiscipleranaheadfaster than Peter and came to the tombfirst;

and 4stooping and looking in, he saw the 5linenwrappingslying there; but he did not go in.

And soSimonPeteralsocame, following him, and entered the tomb; and he saw the linenwrappingslying there,

and 6the face-clothwhich had been on His head, not lying with the 7linenwrappings, but rolled up in a place by itself.

So the otherdisciple who 8had firstcome to the tombthenalsoentered, and he saw and believed.

For as yet9they did not understand the Scripture, 10that He mustriseagain from the dead.

So the discipleswentawayagain11to their ownhomes.

12But Mary was standingoutside the tombweeping; and so, as she wept, she 13stooped and looked into the tomb;

and she saw14twoangels in whitesitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.
