John 6:33-43

"For the bread of God is that which 1comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world."
Then they said to Him, "Lord, always 2give us this bread."
Jesus said to them, "3I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me 4will never * thirst.
"But 5I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe.
"6All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly * not cast out.
"For 7I have come down from heaven, 8not to do My own will, but 9the will of Him who 10sent Me.
"This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of 11all that He has given Me I 12lose nothing, but 13raise it up on the last day.
"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who 14beholds the Son and 15believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will 16raise him up on the last day."

Words to the Jews

17Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him, because He said, "I am the bread that 18came down out of heaven."
They were saying, "19Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother 20we know? How does He now say, '21I have come down out of heaven '?"
Jesus answered and said to them, "Do not grumble among yourselves.
