John 7:33-43

33 Therefore Jesus said, "1For a little while longer I am with you, then 2I go to Him who sent Me.
34 "3You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot * come."
35 4The Jews then said to one another, "5Where does this man intend to go that we will not find Him? He is not intending to go to 6the Dispersion among 7the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, is He?
36 "What is this statement that He said, '8You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot * come '?"
37 Now on 9the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "10If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
38 "He who believes in Me, 11as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of 12living water.' "
39 But this He spoke 13of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for 14the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet 15glorified.

Division of People over Jesus

40 Some of the people therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, "This certainly is 16the Prophet."
41 Others were saying, "This is the Christ." Still others were saying, "17Surely the Christ is not going to come from Galilee, is He?
42 "Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from 18the descendants of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
43 So 19a division occurred in the crowd because of Him.
