ThereforeJesussaid, "1For a littlewhilelonger I am with you, then2I go to Him who sent Me.

"3You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot*come."

4The Jewsthensaid to oneanother, "5Where does thismanintend to go that we will not find Him? He is not intending to go to 6the Dispersion among 7the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, is He?

"What is thisstatement that He said, '8You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot*come '?"

Now on 9the lastday, the great day of the feast, Jesusstood and cried out, saying, "10Ifanyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

"He who believes in Me, 11as the Scripturesaid, 'From his innermostbeing will flowrivers of 12livingwater.' "

But this He spoke13of the Spirit, whomthose who believed in Him were to receive; for 14the Spirit was not yet given, becauseJesus was not yet15glorified.

40 Some of the peopletherefore, when they heardthesewords, were saying, "Thiscertainly is 16the Prophet."

Others were saying, "This is the Christ." Still others were saying, "17Surely the Christ is not going to come from Galilee, is He?

"Has not the Scripturesaid that the Christcomes from 18the descendants of David, and from Bethlehem, the villagewhereDavid was?"
