"Even in 1your law it has been written that the testimony of 2twomen is true.
18
"I am He who testifiesaboutMyself, and 3the Father who sent Me testifiesabout Me."
19
So they were saying to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesusanswered, "You knowneither Me nor My Father; 4if you knew Me, you would know My Fatheralso."
20
Thesewords He spoke in 5the treasury, as 6He taught in the temple; and nooneseized Him, because7His hour had not yetcome.
21
Then He saidagain to them, "I goaway, and 8you will seek Me, and 9will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot*come."
22
So10the Jews were saying, "Surely He will not killHimself, will He, since He says, '11Where I am going, you cannot*come '?"
23
And He was saying to them, "12You are from below, I am from above; 13you are of thisworld, 14I am not of thisworld.
24
"Therefore I said to you that you 15will die in your sins; for unless* you believe that 16I am He, 17you will die in your sins."
25
So they were saying to Him, "Who are You?" Jesussaid to them, "What* have I been saying to you from the beginning?
26
"I havemanythings to speak and to judgeconcerning you, but 18He who sent Me is true; and 19the things which I heard from Him, these I speak to the world."
27
They did not realize that He had been speaking to them about the Father.
