39Judah has gone into exilebunderaffliction And cunderdharshservitude ; She dwells10among the nations, But she has foundnorest ; All11her pursuers have overtaken her In the midst of edistress.
The roadsfof Zion are in mourningBecause12no one comes to the appointedfeasts. All her gates are 13desolate ; Her priests are groaning, Her 14virgins are afflicted, And she herselfgis 15bitter.
Her adversaries have becomehher masters, Her enemiesiprosper ; For the LORD has 16caused her griefBecause of the multitude of her transgressions ; Her littleones have gone away As captivesbefore the adversary.
