And again He said, "1To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?

"2It is likeleaven, which a womantook and hid in 3threepecks of flouruntil it was allleavened."
Teaching in the Villages
22 And He was passingthrough from one city and village to another, teaching, and 4proceeding on His way to Jerusalem.

And someonesaid to Him, "Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?" And He said to them,

"5Strive to enterthrough the narrowdoor; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
25
"Once* the head of the housegets up and 6shuts the door, and you begin to standoutside and knock on the door, saying, '7Lord, open up to us!' then He will answer and say to you, '8I do not knowwhere you are from.'

"Then you will 9begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets ';

and He will say, 'I tell you, 10I do not knowwhere you are from; 11DEPART FROM ME, ALL YOU EVILDOERS.'

"12In that placethere will be weeping and gnashing of teethwhen you seeAbraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out.

"And they 13will come from east and west and from north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.

"And behold, 14some are lastwho will be first and some are firstwho will be last."
