"I tell you, no, but unless* you repent, you will alllikewiseperish."

And He began tellingthisparable: "A manhad3a figtree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he camelooking for fruit on it and did not find any.

"And he said to the vineyard-keeper, 'Behold, for threeyears I have comelooking for fruit on thisfigtreewithout*finding any. 4Cut it down! Why does it evenuse up the ground?'

"And he answered and said to him, 'Let it alone, sir, for thisyeartoo, until I digaround it and put in fertilizer;

and if it bearsfruitnext* year, fine; but if not, cut it down.' "
Healing on the Sabbath
10 And He was 5teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

And there was a woman who for eighteenyears had had6a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bentdouble, and could not straighten up at all.

When Jesussaw her, He called her over and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your sickness."

And He 7laid His hands on her; and immediately she was madeerectagain and began 8glorifyingGod.

But 9the synagogueofficial, indignantbecauseJesus10had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, "11There are sixdays in whichworkshould be done; socomeduring them and gethealed, and not on the Sabbathday."
