1Now He was telling them a parable to show that at alltimes they 1ought to pray and not to 2loseheart,
2saying, "In a certaincitythere was a judge who did not fearGod and did not 3respectman.3"There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, 'aGive me legalprotection from my opponent.'4"For a while he was unwilling ; but afterward he said to himself, 'Eventhough I do not fearGodnor4respectman,5yet5becausethiswidowbothers me, I will bgive her legalprotection, otherwise by continuallycoming she will c6wear me out.' "6
And 7the Lordsaid, "Hearwhat the unrighteousjudgesaid;7now, will not God8bringaboutjustice for His 9elect who cry to Him day and night, dand will He 10delaylongover them?8"I tell you that He will bringaboutjustice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Mancomes, 11will He findefaith on the earth?"
And He alsotoldthisparable to somepeople who 12trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and 13viewedothers with contempt:
