yet1becausethiswidowbothers* me, I will give her legalprotection, otherwise* by continually*coming she will 2wear me out.' "

And 3the Lordsaid, "Hearwhat the unrighteousjudgesaid;

now, will not God4bringaboutjustice for His 5elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He 6delaylongover them?

"I tell you that He will bringaboutjustice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Mancomes, 7will He findfaith on the earth?"
The Pharisee and the Publican
9 And He alsotoldthisparable to somepeople who 8trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and 9viewedothers with contempt:

"Twomen10went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a taxcollector.

"The Pharisee11stood and was prayingthis to himself: 'God, I thank You that I am not likeotherpeople: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, orevenlikethistaxcollector.

'I 12fasttwice a week; I 13paytithes of all that I get.'

"But the taxcollector, 14standingsomedistanceaway, 15was evenunwilling* to lift up his eyes to heaven, but 16was beating his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner!'

"I tell you, thismanwent to his housejustifiedratherthan the other; 17for everyone who exaltshimself will be humbled, but he who humbleshimself will be exalted."

18And they were bringingeven their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when the disciplessaw it, they began rebuking them.
