"And there were manylepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but 1only*Naaman the Syrian."

And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heardthesethings;

and they got up and 2drove Him out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff.

But 3passingthrough their midst, He went His way.

And 4He camedown to 5Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and He was teaching them on the Sabbath;
32
and 6they were amazed at His teaching, for 7His message was with authority.

In the synagogue there was a manpossessed by the spirit of an uncleandemon, and he cried out with a loudvoice,

"Let us alone! 8What business do we have with each other, Jesus of 9Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I knowwho You are-10the HolyOne of God!"

But Jesus11rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him withoutdoing him anyharm.

And amazementcame upon them all, and they began talking with oneanothersaying, "What is thismessage? For 12with authority and power He commands the uncleanspirits and they come out."

And 13the reportabout Him was spreading into everylocality in the surroundingdistrict.
