Luke 4:7-17

7 "Therefore if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours."
8 Jesus answered him, "It is written, '1YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD AND SERVE HIM ONLY.' "
9 2And he led Him to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here;
10 for it is written, '3HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU TO GUARD YOU,'
11 and, '4ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.' "
12 And Jesus answered and said to him, "It is said, '5YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.' "
13 When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time.

Jesus' Public Ministry

14 And 6Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and 7news about Him spread through all the surrounding district.
15 And He began 8teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all.
16 And He came to 9Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, 10He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and 11stood up to read.
17 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written,
