"For Johncameneither1eatingnor2drinking, and they say, '3He has a demon!'

"The Son of Mancameeating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonousman and a drunkard, 4a friend of taxcollectors and sinners!' Yetwisdom is vindicated by her deeds."
The Unrepenting Cities
20Then He began to denounce the cities in whichmost of His 5miracles were done, because they did not repent.

"6Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, 7Bethsaida! For if the miracles had occurred in 8Tyre and 9Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repentedlongago in 10sackcloth and ashes.

"Nevertheless I say to you, 11it will be moretolerable for Tyre and Sidon in 12the day of judgmentthan for you.

"And you, 13Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will 14descend to 15Hades; for if the miracles had occurred in 16Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to thisday.

"Nevertheless I say to you that 17it will be moretolerable for the land of 18Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you."

"23Allthings have been handedover to Me by My Father; and nooneknows the Sonexcept the Father; nor does anyoneknow the Father24except the Son, and anyone to whom the Sonwills to reveal Him.
