8"For 1the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."92Departing from there, He went into their synagogue.
And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questionedaJesus, asking, "3Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"-so that they might accuse Him.
And He said to them, "4Whatmanbis there among you whochas a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not takehold of it and lift it out?12"5Howmuchmorevaluablethen is a man than a sheep! Sothen, it is lawful to dodgood on the Sabbath."13Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand!"6He stretched it out, and it was restored to enormal, like the other.
But the Phariseeswent out and f7conspiredagainst Him, as to how they might destroy Him.
But Jesus, gaware of this, withdrew from there. Manyfollowed Him, and 8He healed them all,
and 9warned them not to htellwho He was.
This was to fulfillwhat was spokenthroughIsaiah the prophet:

"15A BATTEREDREED HE WILL NOT BREAK OFF, AND A SMOLDERINGWICK HE WILL NOT PUT OUT, UNTIL HE nLEADSoJUSTICE TO VICTORY.
