and they allate and were satisfied. They picked up what was leftover of the brokenpieces, twelvefull2baskets.
There were aboutfivethousandmen who ate, besideswomen and children.
223Immediately He cmade the disciplesget into the boat and goahead of Him to the otherside, while He sent the crowdsaway.
After He had sent the crowdsaway, 4He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was therealone.
But the boat was alreadyda longdistance from the land, ebattered by the waves; for the wind was f5contrary.
And in 6the gfourthwatch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea.
When the disciplessaw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, "It is 7a ghost!" And they cried out hin fear.
But immediatelyJesusspoke to them, saying, "8Takecourage, it is I; 9do not be afraid."28Petersaid to Him, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."
