While he was stillspeaking, a brightcloudovershadowed them, and behold, 1a voice out of the cloudsaid, "2This is My belovedSon, with whom I amwell-pleased; listen to Him!"

When the disciplesheard this, they fellface down to the ground and were terrified.

And Jesuscame to them and touched them and said, "Get up, and 3do not be afraid."

And lifting up their eyes, they sawnooneexceptJesusHimselfalone.

4As they were comingdown from the mountain, Jesuscommanded them, saying, "5Tell the vision to nooneuntil6the Son of Man has 7risen from the dead."

And His disciplesasked Him, "Whythen do the scribessay that 8Elijahmustcomefirst?"

And He answered and said, "Elijah is coming and will restoreallthings;

but I say to you that Elijahalreadycame, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wished. Soalso9the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands."

Then the disciplesunderstood that He had spoken to them aboutJohn the Baptist.
The Demoniac
1410When they came to the crowd, a mancame up to Jesus, falling on his kneesbefore Him and saying,

"Lord, havemercy on my son, for he is a 11lunatic and is veryill*; for he oftenfalls into the fire and often into the water.
