And He said to her, "What do you wish?" She said to Him, "Command that in Your kingdomthesetwosons of mine1may sitone on Your right and one on Your left."

But Jesusanswered, "You do not knowwhat you are asking. Are you able2to drink the cup that I amabout to drink?" They said to Him, "We are able."

He said to them, "3My cup you shall drink; but to sit on My right and on My left, this is not Mine to give, 4but it is for those for whom it has been 5prepared by My Father."

And hearing this, the ten became indignant with the twobrothers.
25
6But Jesuscalled them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentileslord it over them, and their greatmenexerciseauthorityover them.

"It is not thiswayamong you, 7but whoever*wishes to becomegreatamong you shall be your servant,
27
and whoever*wishes to be firstamong you shall be your slave;
28
just as 8the Son of Man9did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Sight for the Blind
2910As they were leavingJericho, a largecrowdfollowed Him.

And twoblindmensitting by the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, "Lord, 11havemercy on us, 12Son of David!"

The crowdsternlytold them to be quiet, but they cried out all the more, "Lord, 13Son of David, havemercy on us!"
