He said to them, "1My cup you shall drink; but to sit on My right and on My left, this is not Mine to give, 2but it is for those for whom it has been 3prepared by My Father."

And hearing this, the ten became indignant with the twobrothers.

4But Jesuscalled them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentileslord it over them, and their greatmenexerciseauthorityover them.

"It is not thiswayamong you, 5but whoever*wishes to becomegreatamong you shall be your servant,
27
and whoever*wishes to be firstamong you shall be your slave;
28
just as 6the Son of Man7did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Sight for the Blind
298As they were leavingJericho, a largecrowdfollowed Him.

And twoblindmensitting by the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, "Lord, 9havemercy on us, 10Son of David!"

The crowdsternlytold them to be quiet, but they cried out all the more, "Lord, 11Son of David, havemercy on us!"

And Jesusstopped and called them, and said, "What do you want Me to do for you?"

They said to Him, "Lord, we want our eyes to be opened."
