ThenJesussaid to them, "You will all3fallawaybecause of Me thisnight, for it is written, '4I WILL STRIKEDOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK SHALL BE 5SCATTERED.'

"But after I have been raised, 6I will goahead of you to Galilee."

But Petersaid to Him, "Even thoughall may fallawaybecause of You, I will neverfallaway."

Jesussaid to him, "7Truly I say to you that 8this very night, before a roostercrows, you will deny Me threetimes."

Petersaid to Him, "9Evenif I have to die with You, I will not deny You." All the disciplessaid the samethingtoo.
The Garden of Gethsemane
3610ThenJesuscame with them to a placecalled11Gethsemane, and said to His disciples, "Sitherewhile I gooverthere and pray."

And He took with Him 12Peter and the twosons of Zebedee, and began to be grieved and distressed.

Then He said to them, "13My soul is deeplygrieved, to the point of death; remainhere and 14keepwatch with Me."

And He went a littlebeyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let 15thiscuppass from Me; 16yet not as I will, but as You will."
