Matthew 27:50-60

And Jesus 1cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
2And behold, 3the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and 4the earth shook and the rocks were split.
The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had 5fallen asleep were raised;
and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered 6the holy city and appeared to many.
7Now the centurion, and those who were with him 8keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw 9the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, "Truly this was 10the Son of God!"
11Many women were there looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee while 12ministering to Him.
Among them was 13Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and 14the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Jesus Is Buried

15When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.
This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.
And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled 16a large stone against the entrance of the tomb and went away.
