6 "¹Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

10 "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?

11 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, ⁴how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

12 "In everything, ⁵therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for ⁶this is the Law and the Prophets.

13 "⁷Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

14 "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

15 "Beware of the ⁸false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ⁹ravenous wolves.

16 "You will ¹⁰know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
