2 Samuel 17:9

9 "Behold, he has now hidden himself in one of the caves or in another place; and it will be when he falls on them at the first attack, that whoever hears it will say, 'There has been a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom.'

2 Samuel 18:7

7 The people of Israel were defeated there before the servants of David, and the slaughter there that day was great, 20,000 men.

2 Samuel 24:21

21 Then Araunah said, "Why has my lord the king come to his servant?" And David said, "To buy the threshing floor from you, in order to build an altar to the LORD , that the plague may be held back from the people."

2 Samuel 24:25

25 David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Thus the LORD was moved by prayer for the land, and the plague was held back from Israel.
