Numbers 20:18

18 Edom, however, said to him, "You shall not pass through us, or I will come out with the sword against you."

Numbers 20:20

20 But he said, "You shall not pass through." And Edom came out against him with a heavy force and with a strong hand.

Numbers 21:23

23 But Sihon would not permit Israel to pass through his border. So Sihon gathered all his people and went out against Israel in the wilderness, and came to Jahaz and fought against Israel.

3 Then Balaam said to Balak, "Stand beside your burnt offering, and I will go; perhaps the LORD will come to meet me, and whatever He shows me I will tell you." So he went to a bare hill.

Numbers 24:1

1 When Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he did not go as at other times to seek omens but he set his face toward the wilderness.
