but a1emptiedHimself, taking the form of a 2bond-servant, and 3beingmade in the likeness of men.
Being found in appearance as a man, 4He humbledHimself by becoming5obedient to the point of death, even6deathbon a cross.
97For thisreasonalso, God8highlyexalted Him, and bestowed on Him 9the name which is aboveeveryname,
10so that at the name of Jesus10EVERYKNEE WILL BOW, of 11those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and that everytongue will confess that JesusChrist is 12Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12Sothen, my beloved, 13just as you have alwaysobeyed, not as in my presenceonly, but nowmuchmore in my absence, work out your 14salvation with 15fear and trembling ;
for it is 16God who is at work in you, both to will and to work17for His goodpleasure.
15so that you will cprove yourselves to be 19blameless and innocent, 20children of Godabovereproach in the midst of a 21crooked and perversegeneration, amongwhom you d22appear as elights in the world,
16holdingffast the word of life, so that in 23the day of Christ I will have reason to glorybecause I did not 24run in vainnor25toil in vain.
But evenif I am being 26poured out as a drinkoffering upon 27the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
