7 but a1emptied Himself, taking the form of a 2bond-servant, and 3being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, 4He humbled Himself by becoming 5obedient to the point of death, even 6death bon a cross. 9 7For this reason also, God 8highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him 9the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus 10EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of 11those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is 12Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 So then, my beloved, 13just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your 14salvation with 15fear and trembling ; 13 for it is 16God who is at work in you, both to will and to work 17for His good pleasure. 14 Do all things without 18grumbling or disputing ; 15 so that you will cprove yourselves to be 19blameless and innocent, 20children of God above reproach in the midst of a 21crooked and perverse generation, among whom you d22appear as elights in the world, 16 holding ffast the word of life, so that in 23the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not 24run in vain nor 25toil in vain. 17 But even if I am being 26poured out as a drink offering upon 27the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
