for 1we are the true acircumcision, who 2worship in the Spirit of God and 3glory in 4Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,

although 5I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more :

6circumcised the eighth day, of the 7nation of Israel, of the 8tribe of Benjamin, a 9Hebrew of Hebrews ; as to the Law, 10a Pharisee ;

as to zeal, 11a persecutor of the church ; as to the 12righteousness which is in the Law, found 13blameless.

But 14whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

More than that, I count all things to be loss bin view of the surpassing value of c15knowing 16Christ Jesus my Lord, dfor whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,
9
and may be found in Him, not having 17a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, 18the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
10
that I may 19know Him and 20the power of His resurrection and e21the fellowship of His sufferings, being 22conformed to His death ;
11
fin order that I may 23attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already 24obtained it or have already 25become perfect, but I press on gso that I may 26lay hold of that hfor which also I 27was laid hold of by 28Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet ; but one thing I do: 29forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
