for 1we are the true acircumcision, who 2worship in the Spirit of God and 3glory in 4ChristJesus and putnoconfidence in the flesh,
4although5I myself might haveconfidenceeven in the flesh. Ifanyoneelsehas a mind to putconfidence in the flesh, I far more :
56circumcised the eighthday, of the 7nation of Israel, of the 8tribe of Benjamin, a 9Hebrew of Hebrews ; as to the Law, 10a Pharisee ;

as to zeal, 11a persecutor of the church ; as to the 12righteousness which is in the Law, found13blameless.

But 14whateverthings were gain to me, thosethings I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.
8Morethan that, I countallthings to be lossbin view of the surpassingvalue of c15knowing16ChristJesus my Lord, dfor whom I have suffered the loss of allthings, and count them but rubbishso that I may gainChrist,

and may be found in Him, not having17a righteousness of my ownderived from the Law, but that which is throughfaith in Christ, 18the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

that I may 19know Him and 20the power of His resurrection and e21the fellowship of His sufferings, being 22conformed to His death ;
11fin order that I may 23attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already24obtained it or have already25become perfect, but I press on gso that I may 26layhold of that hfor which also I 27was laidhold of by 28ChristJesus.
13Brethren, I do not regardmyself as having laidhold of it yet ; but onething I do: 29forgetting what lies behind and reachingforward to what lies ahead,
