For 1dogs have surrounded me; aA band of evildoers has encompassed me; bThey 2pierced my hands and my feet.
17
I can count all my bones. 3They look, they stare at me;
18
They 4divide my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots.
19
But You, O LORD, 5be not far off; O You my help, 6hasten to my assistance.
20
Deliver my csoul from 7the sword, My 8only life from the dpower of the dog.
21
Save me from the 9lion's mouth ; From the horns of the 10wild oxen You 11answer me.
22
I will 12tell of Your name to my brethren ; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.
23
13You who fear the LORD, praise Him; All you edescendants of Jacob, 14glorify Him, And 15stand in awe of Him, all you fdescendants of Israel.
24
For He has 16not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted ; Nor has He 17hidden His face from him; But 18when he cried to Him for help, He heard.
25
From You comes 19my praise in the great assembly ; I shall 20pay my vows before those who fear Him.
